K1623 19th century tightly woven splint gathering basket bears its original dark Windsor green painted surface, a hand carved, steamed and bent handle that is woven into the sides and a double wrapped rim. Woven bump up inside bottom allows for airflow of gathered items. Good condition with minor loss at bottom edge that does not affect integrity of the basket.
Measurements: 12" diameter x 11” tall at handle. Sides are 5 ¾” tall.
