K1625 Exceptional 19th century tightly woven splint gathering basket bears its original dark Windsor green painted surface and a hand carved, steamed and bent, notched handle with notched grip. The two sturdy, hand-hewn, steamed and bent rims encircling the top are single wrapped and secure.
Measurements: Top opening is 16 ½” x 15” diameter. The 8 ½” tall sides taper down to a 10” square bottom.
Overall height is approximately 15 ½” tall including handle.
