K1636 Late 19th century – early 20th century very intricately detailed Folk Art Ship Diorama in Showcase with a three masted ship in the center, surrounded by three smaller boats. Ship is flying an American Flag, an Italian pennant, and a pennant bearing the Ship’s name, “MARY”. The smaller steamboats are also flying both American and Italian flags/pennants. The single masted ship in full sails boasts a large letter “P” on its main sail and is flying an American flag. The case does not open. Boats inside appear to be made of wood with cloth/fiber rigging and sails. Engraved metal plate attached on front of showcase reads “A. Palisi Sr.”
Case Measurements: 30 ¾” wide x 12” deep x 19” tall.
