K1654 19th century very unusual Deep turned treenware wooden footed Bowl stamped “VSO” bearing original bittersweet red painted surface. Bowl was most likely used for making butter – where the unusual hole and carved area on bottom of the foot was used for draining purposes. Measurements: 8 5/8” diameter x 6 7/8” tall. The bottom of the foot is 4” diameter.
