K1658 19th century large glass and tin Lantern with smoke ventilator chimney, large round reflector and clear glass hinged door for access to the fuel chamber inside. Decorative circles are punched through the tin in the bottom for air flow purposes. Lantern bears multiple layers of old red paint over its original red painted surface. Sturdy wire bail handle on top for carrying and original wire brackets on back for mounting to a wall or post.
