K165 19th century cobalt blue decorated 2-Gallon Stoneware Crock attributed to Peter Hermann (1825-1901) of Baltimore, Maryland. Ovoid shape with tooled shoulder, grooved collar with squared rim and applied lug handles. Prominently stamped “2” beneath one of the handles. Fantastic hand brushed Cobalt flowers and leaves encircle the crock along the shoulder. Circa 1840s-1860s. Hairlines to bottom and minor chips along the rim.
 Measurements: 6 5/8” diameter (bottom) x 8 ½” diameter (top) x 12” tall
