Wood Boxes and Bins

K1673 Early 19th century Pennsylvania slide lid Candle Box with original, dry-Windsor green painted surface. Slightly chamfered edges along the top with three symmetrically carved finger notches in the end of the lid allow easy opening of the smoothly sliding lid which opens to reveal a lidded till inside, and a clean, natural patina interior. Dovetailed case with tiny square head nail construction. Circa 1820s. The wood is pine.
Measurements: 12 ¾” long x 6 5/8” wide x 5" tall
