K167 Hand carved wooden Bluejay perched on a small piece of driftwood - signed “R. Bernier” on bottom. Wonderfully hand carved and painted details with glass eyes, mounted on a 4 ¾” round wooden disk for display purposes. Carver, Ronald Bernier (1873-1952) of Biddeford, Maine was also known as “Bernier the Lumberman”– a lumberman by trade who took up carving after being injured in an accident. 
Approximate overall measurements:  8 ¼” long x 5 ½” wide x 6 ½” tall.
