**SOLD** K1718 Extraordinary early 19th century Pennsylvania original red painted oversized carrier with canted sides, a curved handle for carrying and a drawer below with nicely beaded edge and original hardware on the drawer front. The full-length dovetailed drawer is canted to match the shape of the carrier and boasts hidden compartments in the very back. The wood is pine. Circa 1840s.
Measurements: The sides measure 26” long x 15 ¾” wide and taper down to 21” long x 10 ¾” wide bottom. The sides are 10” tall. Overall height at center of handle is 13 ½” tall.
