**SOLD** K1799 19th century signed Peter Hermann 3-gallon heavily Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Crock stamped “P HERMANN 3 G” just below top rim and adorned with large hand brushed double flowers on each side. Tall, cylindrical form with flat bottom, tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles with cobalt accents. Inscribed ‘3’ and part of “…rmann…” is visible beside handle, just below the rim, on one side. 
(NOTE: Peter Hermann (1825-1901) ran his pottery on Edgar Street in Baltimore from 1850-1872.)  
Measurements: 8” ½” diameter base x 14 ¼” tall.
