Wood Boxes and Bins

K1824 18th century Pennsylvania miniature inlaid stool with handwritten provenance attached to bottom. Individual inlaid wooden pieces on top create a geometrical pattern. Mortised drop aprons adorn each side. Splayed legs end in cut out feet. The ends of the top board are chamfered to make the top board appear to be thinner than it actually is. The wood is walnut with small “T” nail construction. The small handwritten note attached on the underside reads: “This little stool belonged to Mother (Hannah C. Raymond) + had been in the family many years – J L Raymond”.
Measurements: 7 3/8” long x 4 ¾” wide x 4 3/8” tall.
