**SOLD** K1853 Large 19th century American carved Rocking Horse on bow rockers. The solid wooden carved horse retains its original white painted surface with mottled paint decoration and rests on original bittersweet red painted rockers. Rockers and matching platform are adorned with black decoration. Horse boasts glass eyes, great detailed carved nose/mouth and is adorned with a straw stuffed high-backed leather saddle with horsehair mane and tail, realistic metal / leather accoutrements and remnants of a saddle blanket with bullion-fringed edge. Circa 1850s-1860s.
