K1862 Late 19th century New England lidded wooden bucket with arched wire bail handle and turned wooden grip. The lid bears a hand painted river scene featuring a couple in a rowboat. Tongue and grooved staved construction held in place with metal bands.
“SPAULDING & FROST FREMONT NH” is stamped along the center of the bottom.
(Spaulding & Frost Cooperage in Fremont, NH was founded in 1874.)
Measurements: 12 ½” top diameter x 13 ½” bottom diameter x 12” tall.
