K1877 Pair of 19th century button top leather and canvas Shoes / Boots – the soles read “SelZ Chicago” and “The Sole of Honor”. Each of the shoes retains their original 7 buttons. 
SELZ is a brand of footwear manufactured and distributed by Chicago-based Selz, Schwab & Co. (1890-1929) and was known for the slogan “SelZ Shoes – Make Your Feet Glad”.  
Approximately 11 ½” long x 3 ½” at widest point x 5 ¼” tall.
