Solid wood with bulbous end and long, tapered handle with cannonball shaped finial on tip of handle. The beautiful artwork is protected with a very early lacquer finish. The wood appears to be Maple. Wear indicative of use.
(The pictures do not do this beautiful piece of treenware justice!)
