**SOLD** K217 Early 1900’s large Pull-Toy Riding Horse on original red painted and decorated wooden platform with metal wheels. The solid wooden horse features hand carved and painted nose/mouth and hooves, a very well-worn mohair covering, glass eyes and leather saddle/tack resting on an original red painted platform with mustard paint decoration and four original metal wheels that move freely. Horsehair mane and remnants of horsehair tail. Remnants of the actual original mohair remain on lower legs, elsewhere surface retains the tweed-like mohair fabric base. The saddle blanket is made of worn and sun-faded velvet and retains a large portion of the original woven bullion fringe. This wonderful toy was found in a Georgia estate.
It is unmarked but is possibly German made.
Measurements:  35 ½” long x 10 ¼” wide x 32” tall.
