K274 Unusual 19th century Pennsylvania Merchant's Desk with unique hidden hinged drop-down writing surface in old blue painted surface. Desk boasts drawers and pigeonholes in the top section for added storage. The top board is hinged so that it can be raised to utilize the top row pigeonholes for sorting taller items. 
The lower section, known as a kneehole style, boasts two doors and a center drawer.  
This versatile piece could be used against a wall – or it could be shared by two parties simultaneously as a Partner’s Desk. 
Wire nailed construction. Circa 1870s. 
Measurements:  47 ¼” wide x 20” deep x 41 ¾” tall (back) x 2/ ½” tall (front).
