K5 Early 19th century Pennsylvania miniature blanket chest with tall, decoratively cut out feet and apron. This wonderful miniature chest retains its original dry, blue painted surface with beautiful floral themed paint decorations. Cotter pin hinges with a combination of “T”, wire and square head nail construction. Lidded till inside also retains cotter pin hinges and a small wire handle and, because of the style of hinges; it opens from the opposite side as most lids. Clean, natural patina interior. Circa 1790-1810. Very early replacement to one edge of top molding.
Measurements: 12 ¾” wide x 8 3/8” deep and the overall height is 10” tall (Feet are 3½” tall)
