L101 19th century punched tin Lantern with initials retaining original surface. Symmetrically punched and pierced patterns designs consisting of dots and dashes, along with circular holes in conical top for venting purposes. The single initials “J” and “S” are punched on opposing sides of the conical shaped top. Hinged door opens freely for easy access to interior candle socket.
Attached out of round metal handle at the top for carrying / hanging.
Measurements: ~13” tall (not including ring) x 5 ¼” diameter. The ring measures approximately 2 – 2 ¼” diameter.
