L128 19th century original green painted tall wooden Lantern branded “CR” on top. Found in Pennsylvania. Lantern features glass panels contained within a wooden pinned and post construction frame. The split glass panel on one side opens freely to access the crudely made metal candle socket. There is a hole in the top for ventilation purposes which is covered on the exterior with a bent piece of sheet metal to create a hood that protects the candle flame from wind/rain.
A wire bale handle is attached to the top for carrying/hanging purposes.
Measurements: 7 5/8” square x 16 ½” tall – not including handle. (Handle is approximately 4 ¾” tall.)
