L15 Identified mid-19th century Pennsylvania vibrant yellow painted pine blanket chest bearing family history inside lid. Six-board dovetailed construction with lidded til inside, resting on applied turned feet. Rounded edged molding surrounds the lid and bottom of the chest. 
Pencil writing inside the lid reads:  “Sarah Shank is the owners name of this chest ** Grand Rebecca Hoy **Don’t steal this chest my finest friend  ** for fearing the gallows will be your end ** Ritten by a friend ** Anna R Hoy”  
Off to the side is written:  “1855 Earliest known record of this chest”  “Sarah Shank 1855-1901; Anna R Hoy 1901-1928; Elsie Feister  1928-1938; Luther Boyer 1938-”. Clean, natural patina interior. 
Measurements: 37 ½” wide x 18” deep x 22 ½” tall.
