L24 Late 18th century to early 19th century handmade wooden Apple Peeler / Parer. Solid wood with small cut nail construction. The cord-powered mechanism is essentially a wheel and pulley system that uses a large wheel to drive a smaller wheel with an adjustable threaded belt tightener. 
A patent was granted in New York for a similar style wooden apple peeler / parer in December 1829. 
Approximate measurements: 12 ½” long x 6 ¼” wide x 9” tall.
