L378 Canvasback Duck Decoy carved by Paul Gibson (1902-1984) Havre de Grace, MD. All original paint and condition, with no evidence of ever having a weight on bottom indicating it was perhaps a mantle duck -approximately circa 1930's.  Gibson was a hunter and fireman with the Edgewood Arsenal. He retired in 1965 as the Department Chief (McKinney 41). In 1915, Gibson began using his spare time to make decoys.
