L380 Late 19th century Folk Art style ceremonial wooden Axe for the fraternal benefit society known as the Foresters of America (“F. of A.”) featuring their logo of a deer in the woods with “Ct. Adams #116” “Instd. Aug 31-1896” “Adams Mass.” painted above the logo, and “F. of A.” painted below the logo. In translation, this represents the Foresters of America Chapter – Adams #116, Instituted August 31st, 1896, in Adams, Massachusetts. Solid wood construction with the handle being fully mortised through the head of the axe. The custom-made metal stand is included for display purposes. 
Measurements of the Axe: 30 ½” long x 1 1/8” thick x 13 ½” tall. Overall height mounted is: 15 3/8” tall.
