L391 Early 19th century oval Trencher bearing gorgeous original red painted exterior and a wonderful natural patina interior with evidence of significant chop and tool marks from years of use. Circa 1830’s – 1840’s. Hand hewn from a single board – with visible carve markings on both the interior and exterior surfaces. Great wear and patina. Age crack to one end that is tight and does not affect integrity of the trencher.
Measurements: 21 ¼” long x 11 ½” wide x 4”-4 ½” deep (depending on where measured).
