L420 19th century Pennsylvania Cutlery Tray / Knife Box retaining its original red painted surface. Raised curved center divider features cut out for carrying purposes. Molded edge surrounds the bottom. The wood is pine – with tiny square head nail construction. Very dry surface with wear indicative of use. Circa 1840 – 1850’s. 
Measurements: 16 ¾” wide x 9 ½” deep x 3 ¾” tall sides x ~5 ½” tall at handle.
