L489 Large, early 19th century hand turned solid wooden Dough Bowl bearing original dark blue painted surface with prominently lipped rim and evidence of slow lathe turnings throughout. Bowl rests on an ever so slightly footed base and retains great natural patina interior with wear indicative of years of use. Out of round. Extensive crack on each side (previously glued), one with an early make-do repair using wire staples.
Measurements: 18” x 18 ½” diameter x 5 ¾” – 6 1/8” tall (depending on where measured).
