M1118 19th century thick-walled wooden mortar and pestle with simple turnings and remnants of incised rings, bearing early mustard yellow painted surface. The pestle, which appears to be original to the mortar, also has remnants of mustard paint. The interior of the mortar and the pestle both bear wear indicative of extensive use. Age crack that does not go completely through on bottom, however it does not affect the integrity of the piece.
Measurements: 6” top diameter x 5 ¼” bottom diameter x 6 ¾” tall. The pestle measures ~10 ½” long.
