M1121 Early 19th century Pennsylvania original red and blue painted child's size blanket chest with dovetailed case and applied bracket base with cut out feet. The wood is poplar, six board dovetailed construction with applied molding surrounding the lid. The molding and bracket base are secured with wooden pegs. Clean, natural patina interior with small, lidded till. Circa 1800-1820s.
Measurements: 20 ½” wide x 11” deep x 11 ¾” tall.
