**SOLD** M154 Exceptional, identified early 19h century Berks County, Pennsylvania beautiful original robin egg blue painted miniature blanket chest with drawer, lidded till and applied moldings resting on turned feet. Identified and dated inside lid of till and inside drawer: “C.S. Tufter – Vinemont – Berks Co Pa 1893” There is also a carved pinwheel in the top of the lid. The wood is pine with “T” and square head nail construction – with an approximate age of the box being around 1800-1820.
Measurements: 15 3/8” wide x 9 ½” deep x 12 ½” tall.
(NOTE: a receipt, dated March 11, 1904, from Spring Township, PA in the amount of $1.00 for Road Tax for the year 1903 remains inside the drawer.)
