Wood Boxes and Bins

M216 19th century hand carved wood Rabbit hugging an Oversized Egg with large bow Papier Mache mold retaining its original surface.  Solid hand-carved wood construction with great details, and a large surface crack from age and drying of the wood. This type of mold was used as a pattern to make Papier Mache’ Christmas, Easter and Halloween items. You can see fine knife cuts throughout, especially on the ears, where the Papier Mache was cut away when dry. A cute decorative piece of history.
Approximate measurements of the Putti are: ~11 ¼” wide x ~8” deep x ~12” tall.
