M242 Early 19th century hand-hewn wooden trencher with carved handles bearing its original old mustard painted surface. Natural patina interior with evidence of significant chop and tool marks from years of use. Very sturdy, even with early age crack to one end that does not affect the integrity of this item. Circa 1830’s – 1840’s.
Measurements: 19” long x 10 ¾” wide. Height varies between 2 ¾” - 3 ¼” tall, depending on where measured.
