M271 Late 19th century Pennsylvania old blue painted wooden Lantern featuring three glass panels and a wooden panel with leather hinges contained within a wooden pinned and post construction frame resting on four short legs. Door opens freely to access the interior. There is a hole in the top for ventilation purposes which is covered on the exterior with a rusty old piece of punched / pierced sheet iron and the interior fitted with a large opening in the base and having a removable board which fits over the opening A wrought iron wire bail handle is attached to the top for carrying/hanging purposes.
Measurements 6” square x 12 ¼” tall at corner posts. Overall height is approximately 15” tall including handle in upright position.
