M274A Sturdy 19th century tightly hand-woven round gathering basket with single wrapped rim in original dark red painted surface. Thick steamed and bent, notched handle is woven into the sides of the basket. Tightly woven, significantly bumped up bottom interior to help with weight distribution and enhance airflow for gathered items. Minor losses with great wear.
Measurements: 15 ½” x 14 ½” diameter across top x 8 ½”-9” tall sides (depending on where measured) x ~13 ½” tall with handle.
