**SOLD** M285 19th century original blue painted Mortar and Pestle.  Each part is turned from one solid piece of wood. The interior of the mortar retains wonderful natural patina. Very sturdy with good weight. The Mortar measures 7 ¼” tall x 6 ½” diameter bottom with a 2 ¼” wide band with molded edge around the bottom before the sides curve around the bowl and taper back to a 6 1/8” diameter top with a rim that measures 5/8” thick. Pestle appears to be original to the mortar and measures 8 ½” long with remnants of blue paint and significant wear indicative of years of use.
