M317 Small 19th century Pennsylvania blanket chest bearing original red painted surface with dovetailed case and applied, dovetailed bracket base with molded edge and cut out feet. Applied molded and mortised edge surrounds the lid. Lidded glove till inside. There are several names, and the date 1887, handwritten inside the chest. Pine, six board construction. Natural patina interior.
Measurements: 25 ½” wide x 13” deep x 14” tall.
