M86 Exceptional miniature Portrait of a beautifully coiffed haired lady in a blue dress with shawl and matching hat - signed “G. Capet”. The details are exquisitely lifelike! The artist, Marie Gabrielle-Capet (1761-1818), excelled as a portrait painter and is known for her miniature paintings, oil paintings, watercolors and pastels – many of which are housed in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.
