Interior of Desk

MS6 Early 19th century Vermont Stand up Desk in original paint decorated surface. hinge top, fitted interior. The wood is white pine and poplar. The rectangular hinged lift-top slant-lid with applied molding opens to reveal a nice and clean interior boasting a fitted compartment that features six cubbies above a single drawer centered by two pigeon holes on either side, above a pair of ledger compartments. The writing surface is above three working drawers of dovetail construction that retain their original wood pulls. The desk rests on raised, tall ogee-cutout feet. The original faux grained surface remains in fine condition and has developed a nice patina.  Circa 1800-1820.  Measurements: 49" high x 32 3/4" wide x 21 3/4" deep
