H513 Late 18th Century New England Candle Stand in original red painted surface with a very simple turned center column resting on three padded feet that are dovetailed into the column. The one board top is secured by early screws to a large, single batten which is attached to the base. The underside of the top bears a hand-hewn chamfered edge. Wonderful, early, make-do repair to the foot on one leg is nicely done and is secured with tiny square head nails. Measurements: Top is 13 ½” x 13 ¾” diameter (slightly out of round) and it is 26 ¾” tall.
