G443 Absolutely stunning early 19th century Lancaster Pennsylvania two-piece stepback Dutch cupboard in original red painted surface. The upper section boasts two, six-pane glass doors and a three-pane center column, two dovetailed candle drawers and a tall cut out pie shelf. Upper doors open to a clean, pale blue painted interior with shelves that have both plate grooves AND removable plate rails with nicely beaded edges. The bottom of the cupboard features three dovetailed drawers over two doors and rests on short applied turned feet. Lower doors open to reveal shelves and a clean, natural patina interior. All doors are fully mortised and wooden pegged. All doors and drawers feature chamfered edges on their fronts. Applied molding around top, and along edges where top rests on base.
