RM1071 Wonderful Pewter Tankard marked “J. N. 1875” on the lid.  There is also an embossed pattern creating a ring that encircles the scrolled initials and date on the lid.  Inside on the bottom of the Tankard, there are two engraved rings encompassing a fairly prominent touch mark.  The touch mark depicts an eagle shield with 2 oval pictures within the shield area.  Large Finial on the lid is is in tact.  Approximate Measurements:  9” tall x 4 3/8” diameter across bottom. There is one very minor stress crack where the lid attaches to the main body and what looks to be either reinforcement, or an early repair, to the bottom of handle where it attaches to the tankard. Please refer to photographs for additional details.
