RM1428 Early Canvasback drake decoy carved by, Thomas Barnard (1847-1927), Havre de Grace, Maryland.Thomas was the older brother of decoy maker Charles Nelson Barnard.  Measures 14 3/4” long. CONDITION:  In use repaint with minor wear; otherwise very good structurally. Provenance:  The Waterfowl Festival’s 50 Anniversary Collection.  Donated to them in 2012 by the Honorable Nicholas F. Brady, former United States Secretary of the Treasury.
