RM1445 Rare Civil War Veterans 46 Star American flag (1908-1912) with identification inscribed on the hoist edge “M.P. Resch GAR” – which research shows is Michael Resch of the 9th Wisconsin – who enlisted on 9/10/1861 as a Private, mustered into “C” Co. WI 9th Infantry on 9/10/1861, with an intra-regimental Company Transfer from Company C to Company G on 6/5/1864, and mustered out on 12/3/1864.  Family of Mr. Resch indicated this flag was displayed at his funeral. Good condition. Please see photos for details on stitching and wear. Approximate measurements: 8’ wide x 4’ tall.
