RM1521 Civil War Officer’s Stirrup – with early handwritten tag attached that reads: “Officer’s stirrup from Winchester Battlefield, October 18th, 1864  Presented by   S.W. Lauck    Harrisonburg, Va”  The opposite side of the tag reads: “Property of Mrs. C. H. Revercomb”. 
Approximate measurements: 5” wide x 1 5/8” deep x 6” tall. 
(Note: Samuel William Lauck (1864-1931) was born in Frederick Co., VA, the son of gunsmith Simon Lauck (1816-1901). By 1900 he had relocated to Harrisonburg, VA, where he became a successful businessman. Mrs. C. H. Revercomb (1871-1948) was the wife of Charles Howard Revercomb (1863-1949), a prosperous farmer and postmaster of Covington, VA.)
