RM1558 Late 19th century Identified oval Tin Military Hat Box retaining beautiful original red and black paint decorated surface. Lid bears a brass maker’s plate that reads: “Hawkes & Co 14 Piccadilly London” and an engraved brass name plate on front that is identified to: “E. A. Fitz Gerald Esq. 5th Dragoon Guards”. The working side hasp and handle on top remain intact and are in good working condition. All solder seams are secure.
Measurements: 11 ¼” x 8 ½” x ~16” tall with handle.
