**SOLD** RM1562 Civil War era heart-shaped brass and leather Martingale with original leather strap and buckle. This style of Martingale adorned the breast plate of Civil War saddles. Brass shaped heart is applied to a heart-shaped leather pad encircled with nine large round headed tacks and stamped leather border around the edges. Great condition!
Measurements: Outer leather pad is 4” tall x 3 ¾” wide and 6 ¼” tall with leather strap. Brass center heart is 1 ½” wide x 1½” tall.
