RM1577 Canvasback Drake decoy carved by Carroll "Wally" Algard (1883-1959) of Charlestown, Maryland with semi-high head and high neck shelf, bearing second coat working paint. Original weight and staple intact on bottom. Algard was a railroad track foreman who worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was also a waterfowl hunter who made fine decoys.
