RM603 Patriotic New York WWI (1914-1918) trench art camo painted helmet.  There is no doubts in the age of the paint being from the WWI period. Many of these helmets were painted aboard the ships bringing the soldiers home, many of the soldiers landed in New York that might explain why the artist painted “The Statue of Liberty” on front or could have been a New York unit. The colors are still brilliant as this was obviously cared for over the years.
