SB25 Exceptional mid-19th century Lancaster County, Pennsylvania miniature paint decorated blanket chest retaining its original overall mottled and stripe mustard paint decorated surface with applied original green painted molding around the lid. Six board, finely dovetailed construction with square head nails securing the bottom. Molded edges surround the top and bottom, as well as along the edge of the lidded til inside. Clean, natural patina interior. The wood is pine with applied turned walnut feet. Original hardware, including lock and key. Circa 1840s – 1860s.
