H1077 Wonderful 19th century Oil on Canvas depicting a still life of a basket of apples with several loose apples in the foreground. A signature is not evident; however, this painting is in the style of American Artist William Mason Brown (1828–1898) who was renowned for romantic landscapes beginning in 1850 and began specializing in still lifes in 1858. His paintings are to be found at The Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
